Ilme

Ilme, the artist name of Igor Lima Mendes, has been tattooing for 4 years and started in Rio de Janeiro. His work is original: it combines whip shading and dotwork, his main techniques, with influences from ornamental, geometric, neo-Oriental and realism. He has won awards at local and online conventions.

Every project starts with a conversation about what the tattoo means to the client. From there, Ilme creates an original composition designed around the anatomy and movement of the body, guided by three pillars: visual impact, anatomical flow and contrast with solid pigmentation. His favorite projects are full sleeves, legs and back pieces.
