Diego Nunes

Diego Nunes started tattooing at 18, coming from graffiti, at a time when prejudice against tattoos was still very strong. He was the first tattoo artist from São Gonçalo to compete in and win conventions.

Known for his realism, he has won dozens of trophies across Brazil in realism and portrait, and became the youngest convention judge in the country at the time. He became a reference for a generation and trained several artists who are now renowned. His work is recognized for its contrast of light and shadow and his technique on dark skin.

Today, besides being part of our team of resident artists in Barra da Tijuca, he teaches workshops and works as a guest at studios in Europe.
